Casey’s experience includes representing clients in various forms of conflict resolution including litigation, mediation, and arbitration. His primary goal is to resolve matters as effectively and efficiently as possible. In the course of his practice, Casey has taken those cases as far as he can to get the resolutions his clients want, including several appellate cases and arguing successfully before the Supreme Court of Nevada.
Privacy and Data Security
Growing up on computers and the Internet, Casey naturally gravitated to the area of privacy and data security law. Realizing how impactful this area of law is on all of his clients, Casey became a CIPP/US (Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States) and obtained a graduate certificate in Emergency Crisis Management Cybersecurity. Focusing on his strengths, Casey’s practice in this area focuses on improving your company’s cybersecurity and preparing you for the inevitable breach. Casey will also be an asset for you when a breach happens, so you have someone to call that knows what you should do next.
Business
Casey has substantial experience representing clients in all aspects of business from corporate formation to complex litigation involving multiple parties. He represents all types of business entities in commercial disputes including contract claims, business torts, privacy lawsuits, defamation, and fraud. Some of his experience includes bet-the-company cases.
Construction Litigation
Casey also represents developers, contractors and design professionals on a variety of construction litigation issues including mechanic’s liens, delay/impact, indemnity, inefficiency claims, and defending claims for alleged errors and omissions and defective work.
Background
During his time at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, Casey served as the Performing Arts Chair on the ASISU Program Board and was involved in producing several concerts and events. He was also on the Women’s History Month committee and produced a benefit show for a local women’s shelter. Casey was a member of the ISU International Affairs Council and involved in coordinating the annual Frank Church Symposium.
While in law school, Casey was a staffer for the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution and did German language citation checking for the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal. Casey was a participant in the Vis International Moot Court competition and a member of the Cardozo chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
Capitalizing on his undergraduate education, Casey was involved in the annual Law Revue show as both a performer and co-director. He also produced a show in the New York International Fringe Festival. Outside of school, Casey interned for the Pro Bono Consumer Bankruptcy Project at the New York City Bar Association’s City Bar Justice Center and served on the Board of Directors of SYREN Modern Dance. He has performed as an actor and musician in several community theatre productions across the country. These days, Casey is a big Vegas Golden Knights fan that enjoys spending his free time with his two children enjoying all that Las Vegas has to offer.
